Awards & Prizes
The Robert E. Burke Award is given annually to one member of the graduating class who has completed all of the requirements for a major in art history. Recipients of the award will have maintained a high standard of scholarship and character during their undergraduate career. Faculty members in the Art History Department nominate candidates, and the recipient is determined by faculty vote.
The Art History Department Area Award goes to a junior or senior who has demonstrated particularly high academic performance. Interested students will receive a call to submit their names plus a writing sample for consideration during the fall term. The recipient is determined by faculty vote.
