Sarah Berg is a first-year art history master’s student focused on the Korean diaspora in contemporary art. She is particularly interested in themes of techno-orientalism and the construction of racial and cultural identity in contemporary art amidst Korea’s globalization. She obtained a bachelor’s degree in English literature at Miami University in 2019, was a 2019-2020 Fulbright Grant recipient in Yeosu, Korea, and worked as a translation copyeditor in Seoul from 2020 to 2022. She also enjoys swimming, writing, and walkable cities.
