The semester study abroad program in Salerno, Italy, provides a unique opportunity to take part in an overseas program that provides essential academic credits to keep you on track with College major requirements.
Course topics include earth hazards and sustainability, food and heritage, and art history. Italian language and culture courses complete the program and ensure you earn requirements in each of the GenEd and CASE designations. You will also fulfill your GenEd World Languages and Culture requirement through this international experience—all while spending a semester along the Italian coast discovering the depth of Italian culture.
All courses are taught by IU faculty, with a resident faculty director on-site for the entire program. No Italian language ability is required, as Italian courses are part of each week’s schedule.
