We work closely with our graduate students to provide advice and information about career development. Graduates of our department typically go on to careers directly related to art history, becoming leaders in their professions and communities both nationally and internationally. They have become teachers and curators, archivists, artists, appraisers, writers, researchers, and museum administrators.
The skills gained in art history can also prepare students for a broad range of professions, including public relations, advertising, publishing, journalism, media, fundraising and development and, with additional training, for professions such as medicine, law, business, and investment banking.
