Alumna Dr. Elizabeth Perrill (Ph.D. '08) received a grant from the Millard Meiss Publication Fund for her upcoming book, "Burnished: Zulu Ceramics Between Rural and Urban South Africa" (Indiana University Press, Spring 2022). Established in 1975 through a bequest from Dr. Millard Meiss, an art historian known as one of the true "monuments men" who restored Italian artworks following World War II, this award is granted to less than 10 books per cycle across all fields of art history and visual studies.
