My interests are North American art, art theory, and aesthetic philosophy in the 20th and 21st century. I am fascinated by the power of art and objects, from keystone artworks to coffee cups, and their influence on every day decisions and cultural identities. Before IU, I attended Loyola University in Chicago, focusing on American Impressionism and Phenomenology. Outside of academics, I have worked as an archivist, curator, docent, and grant writer, which gave me invaluable experience and exposure to art and objects.
I look forward to living and working in Bloomington because IU offers ample resources and expertise to blossom my garden of interest.
