Last week students in Professor Julie Van Voorhis’s course "Storytelling in Ancient Greek & Roman Art" worked together with staff at the Eskenazi Museum of Art to install the exhibition, Life and Legend: Storytelling and Greek Pottery. Students in the Arts and Sciences Undergraduate Research Experience (ASURE) program, supervised by Dr. Julie Van Voorhis and Curator of Ancient Art Juliet Graver Istrabadi, participated in research projects that led to the creation of this exhibition on vase painting in ancient Greece.
The exhibition will open this Thursday, May 4th, with an opening reception from 3:00 to 5:00 pm on the Museum’s second floor. Student research project posters will be on display, and refreshments will be served.
The Arts and Sciences Undergraduate Research Experience supports courses that introduce students to hands-on research as early as possible in their academic careers. ASURE classes emphasize mentorship and project-based learning.
