Department of Art History Alumna, Erin Devine, has published her first book Translation and Transgression in the Art of Shirin Neshat with Routledge Press, as part of their Focus on Art History and Visual Studies series. Dr. Devine's research on Shirin Neshat's work was also featured in the Woman's Art Journal. Her article "Beyond Representation: The Evolution of Embodied Experience in Shirin Neshat's Early Art" was the cover article in the Journal's recent Fall/Winter 2023 issue. The Department congratulates Dr. Devine on her first book publication and commends her valuable contribution to the field of art history.
