Professor Julie Van Voorhis and Mark Abbe (University of Georgia) have published Imperial Colors: The Roman Portrait Busts of Septimius Severus and Julia Domna with D Giles Limited. The paired sculptures that are the focus of this book are part of the IU Eskenazi Museum of Art’s collection of ancient art. The Department commends Dr. Van Voorhis’s valuable contribution to the field of art history with this publication.
